This program will introduce students to safety practices, tools, and equipment uses/operations needed for frame carpentry. Students will learn to estimate materials, read building plans, rough framing, and other skills needed to work in various areas of the construction industry.

SkillsUSA is a national organization serving teachers and high school and adult students who are preparing for careers in technical, skilled and service occupations, and for further education. SkillsUSA provides opportunities for students to enhance their personal and leadership qualities through individual and group projects and through skill competitions which are held on local, state, and national levels.
